JIANG KO

About me...
Graduated with a BFA from School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2020, Jiang Ko is a multidisciplinary artist with a main focus on painting, as well as 3D printing sculptures. Having worked with 3D printers as an Advanced Instructional Associate in the SAIC Columbus Digital Fabrication Studio, she brings abstract ideas into the physical reality. She has received a Recognition Merit Scholarship covering her time as an undergraduate.
Jiang Ko’s practice explores a personal journey of dissociative identity disorder. Through 3D rendering and printing, and painting, she brings her alters and psychological mind into the real world in different mediums. By crossing back and forth across between the digital and physical world, her alters and she build a bridge to express their story. They hope to shed light on the importance of mental health and break stereotypes that are held against those with mental disorders. They each have their own style and work they're eager to share.
